Orbit Communication Systems, the Israeli specialist in ground, airborne and maritime communications, satellite tracking and ground-station technology, exhibited at Eurosatory in June 2026 for the time as a wholly owned subsidiary of US company Kratos Defense & Security Solutions.

The acquisition of Orbit by Kratos closed in March 2026.

Speaking to Warsight at the show on 16 June, Orbit President and CEO Daniel Eshchar said, “We are heading together with Kratos to handle more contracts, more opportunities worldwide, because we complement each other. They have the market, they have a long list of boots on the ground worldwide, we are working in 60 different countries, so together we are complementing each other, and I believe that we will keep growing the business by two digits every year.”

“It’s a matter of one company, one comprehensive entity, which can provide to the end user much more than before, said Eshchar. “So now we are doing some post-merger integration, and I do believe that we will have new developments, new products, new technology to offer to our customers because of combination of the two companies; both of them are good technology and leading-edge companies.”

Established in 1950, Orbit has business areas covering audio management systems; resilient mobile satellite communication (satcom) terminals covering the airborne, maritime and ground domains that can switch between geosynchronous, medium and low Earth orbit constellations; and Earth observation satcom systems.

Kratos, which generated USD 1.347 billion (EUR 1.19 billion) in total revenue for fiscal year 2025 and employs around 4,300 staff, has divisions that cover hypersonic vehicles, propulsion systems, unmanned aerial vehicles from aerial targets to collaborative combat aircraft, weapons, space systems and radio frequency, microwave, and digital processing solutions. There are therefore multiple sectors where Eshchar believes Orbit will be able to offer complementary solutions to pursue his pacing double-digit growth plans.
