Poland’s Armament Agency has signed contracts with WB Group for the delivery of new reconnaissance/strike unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) that represent the largest procurement of such capabilities not only in the history of the Polish Armed Forces but also in Europe, WB Group announced on 2 June 2026.
Three contracts for the delivery of unmanned systems were signed in Ożarów Mazowiecki on 28 May by WB Group President Piotr Wojciechowski and Divisional General Artur Kuptel, head of the Armament Agency of the Polish Ministry of National Defence (MND).
The contracts will be financed through the European Union’s Security Action for Europe (SAFE) instrument: a EUR 150 billion EU financial mechanism that provides long-maturity, low-interest loans to member states for urgent and large-scale defence procurement.
Under the SAFE-funded WB Group will deliver more than 400 Warmate loitering munitions, 190 Flyeye reconnaissance UAVs and 12 battery-level fire units of the Gladius reconnaissance/strike UAV system.
