Saab has received an order from the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) for sensors and command-and-control (C2) systems for a ground-based air defence (GBAD) solution for Swedish Army brigades, the company announced on 2 June 2026.
The order is valued at approximately SEK 1.2 billion (EUR 110 million), with deliveries set to take place between 2029 and 2030.
The contract combines Saab’s Giraffe AMB short- to medium-range surveillance radar with the company’s integrated C2 functionality (LSS Lv), “creating time to secure freedom of manoeuvre and support air superiority”, Saab stated.
