German electronics group Rohde & Schwarz has launched the Networked Multipoint Array Communications System (NEMACS): a new directional, multi‑link combat‑cloud solution that delivers secure, high‑throughput connectivity for crewed/uncrewed teaming across all domains.
The new system was launched at the ILA Berlin Air Show 2026, held at the Berlin ExpoCenter Airport from 10-14 June.
NEMACS connects crewed and uncrewed assets across air, land, sea and space while protecting the data stream from detection and interception.
Built around a communication management suite and a family of directional datalinks spanning C‑Band, Ku-Band and satellite communications, NEMACS creates a resilient, multi‑link mesh that can be routed around interference, stays invisible to hostile sensors through low‑probability‑of‑detection/low‑probability‑of‑interception capabilities and guarantees real‑time data flow across air, land, sea and space. The result, according to the company, “is a true combat cloud where crewed and uncrewed aircraft, naval ships and ground forces exchange sensor feeds, targeting data and commands without a single point of failure”.
